A: The Vitamin Advisor is a health and lifestyle evaluation that takes just minutes to complete. Created by Andrew Weil, M.D., Tieraona Low Dog, M.D., and their science advisory team, it asks about your diet, lifestyle habits, age, gender, health concerns, medications and other factors that affect your nutrition needs.

Once you complete the evaluation, your answers are processed via our proprietary algorithms to determine the precise mix of supplements - in just the right amounts - to fit your unique nutrition requirements.

Then, this personal recommendation is presented to you, free, with no obligation. You may take it to the retail or online merchant of your choice. It can also be shared with nutritionists and other health professionals to assist you in meeting your health goals.

Q: How often should I take the Vitamin Advisor evaluation?

We encourage you to retake the Vitamin Advisor evaluation at least once a year, or whenever there is a significant change to your diet, lifestyle habits, health concerns or medications.

Q: Why do you ask for my email address before receiving my recommendation?

A: Your email address is required so that we may email you a copy of your personalized supplement recommendation and send occasional email messages regarding the Vitamin Advisor. It will also be used as your account login to review and update your information.

Q: Why do you ask about medications?

A: Certain medications may deplete your body of some nutrients or interfere with their absorption. Medications can also interact negatively with particular nutrients or herbs. To prevent either of these possibilities, we make sure to eliminate pills that contain ingredients that might react adversely with your medication, or we recommend a specific supplement to ensure that your body does not become deficient in this nutrient.

Q: I am taking medications that are not listed on your evaluation. Where do I add this information?

Q: Why aren't other types of cancers listed in the evaluation?

Understanding of the links between nutrition and cancer is rapidly advancing. At this time, the risks associated with three cancers - colon, breast and prostate - are clearly related to diet and lifestyle.

Q: Do you have any recommendations for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

A: If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, we will provide a recommendation that supports your needs during this exciting time. We also recommend that you ask your physician about your particular nutritional needs before starting a supplement program.

Q: How can I get a copy of my recommendation?

A: Once you have completed the Vitamin Advisor evaluation and received your recommendation, the recommendation will be emailed to you immediately to the email address you provided. An account will also automatically be created for you where you can review your recommendation at any time simply by logging in with your email address and password.

Q: What kind of information will I receive during the Nutritionist consultation?

Nutritionist consultations are offered to educate and support you while you are taking supplements from the Vitamin Advisor, or if you are considering taking these supplements for the first time. We will address any questions and concerns you may have about our program. We also offer an email service for those times you have a question and don't wish to set up an appointment. If your question is beyond the scope of what we can answer through this service, we will do our best to provide you alternative resources.

Q: What is the quality of your supplements?

A: All Weil Vitamin Advisor products are made by manufacturers who must meet our strict guidelines for quality control, as well as current Good Manufacturing Practices in all aspects of production, testing and packaging. All product ingredients are tested to ensure that the ingredients and serving sizes are correct. Additionally, our products are free of preservatives, artificial colors or flavorings, and sourced from whole foods and organic herbs whenever possible. Additionally, our products are free of wheat, gluten, sugar, nuts, dairy, corn, and soy protein. Q: Some of my vitamins are inconsistent in look and coloring. What is the cause of this and are they still good?

Please know that it is normal to see color changes in supplements, particularly when they do not contain binders, coatings, or fillers. Q: Can I add or delete supplements?

The Vitamin Advisor recommendation is designed to provide you with the most effective amounts of many nutrients and herbs. We do not allow for additional supplements not included in the recommendation as the result may be amounts that exceed what we feel is safe. Similarly, deleting supplements may reduce the recommendation's effectiveness, but we understand that economic considerations may make this necessary, so you will have the option to delete supplements that are listed on the recommendation page by "unchecking" any supplements that you do not wish to purchase. Q: What if I experience adverse effects from taking the supplements?

Q: How do I cancel an order?

A: We are committed to shipping your order as quickly as possible. Therefore, canceling your order is only possible a short time after it has been placed by calling 800-585-5055 during business hours (Monday – Friday 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time). Once processing of your order has started, it is too late to cancel but your order may be returned in accordance with our return policy.

Q: How does the Auto-Delivery feature work?

A: If you choose to refill automatically, we will ship you a new, fresh supply of supplements based on your initial supply and thereafter with our Auto-Delivery program. You will automatically be charged for each new supply at the time of shipment based on the size of your initial supply order. The charge will be made to the same card you used for the initial order, and will be listed on your statement under the name Weil Lifestyle. You agree that Weil Lifestyle will not be obligated to send you any renewal or advance billing notices or confirmations that your credit card has been charged. Q: Is it okay to take these supplements with the ones I already take?

A: Your recommendations are based on the assumption that you are not taking any other dietary supplements. Your supplement needs should be met through our program alone. In order to prevent overdosing or nutrient-nutrient interactions, we recommend that you do not take any other nutrition/herbal supplements in conjunction with our program.

Q: I am seeing a doctor for diabetes (or other health condition). Should I inform him or her that I am starting this program?

A: Be sure to check with your health care provider before starting our supplement program, particularly if you are being monitored for a specific medical condition.

Q: What happens if a new study comes out and says that something I am taking is bad for my health, or something I am not taking might help my condition?

Q: Do you charge sales tax?

Custom vitamin packs that are shipped to Arizona customers are subject to tax at the appropriate state and local rate. In Arizona, the total sales price includes sales tax, shipping and handling charges, as well as discounts.

Q: How are my supplements shipped?

A: Orders for customers who reside in the contiguous United States will be shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS) SurePost when "Standard Shipping" is selected and UPS when "Expedited" (Overnight, 2 Day or 3 Day) shipping is selected. Delivery time for Standard shipments is between three and eight business days depending on the destination address. For customers living in Hawaii and Alaska, U.S. Territories and APO addresses, orders will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Delivery time for Priority Mail is two to three days.

Q: Do you charge for shipping?

A: Yes, $6.99 will be added to orders in the U.S. to cover shipping and handling costs. We do not ship internationally at this time.

Q: Can you ship express delivery?

A: Yes, Express Shipping is the fastest way to receive your order and is available within the Continental United States for an additional fee. All Express orders will be shipped via UPS. Expedited shipping methods are not available for P.O. boxes, U.S. territories and APO/FPO military addresses. We ship via standard shipping only to these locations. Packages sent to military or territorial addresses may be delayed by standard mail handling and shipping times may vary.

Q: How long does it take to process my order?

A: Please allow up to two (2) business days to process your order from the day it was received. Our transportation partners do not process orders on the weekend. Therefore, if you place an order on Friday, you may experience a delay between your "order-shipped" confirmation email and the actual shipment of your order.

Q: Will my order be delivered over a weekend?

A: Orders shipped via UPS, including overnight, 2-day, and 3-day are delivered Monday through Friday only. Orders shipped via USPS are delivered Monday through Saturday.

Additionally, as you are on our auto-delivery program, your orders are timed to be shipped to you just before you run out of your supplement supply. Additionally, you will be able to view and edit your account details, including name, email address, password, billing and shipping addresses, payment information, and email newsletter preferences. You can also view your order history, and click on links to our customer service department.

Q: Can my children go on this program?

A: Our recommendations are designed for adults. Children have unique nutritional needs. If you feel that your child requires supplements we recommend that you consult with your child's pediatrician.

Q: Can I let someone else try my supplements?

A: Each person has unique nutritional needs. Your supplement program is designed specifically for you. Encourage your family members and friends to take the Vitamin Advisor evaluation to receive their own personalized recommendations.

Q: I'm not good at remembering to take pills. Can I take the supplements in more than one packet at a time?

A: Ideally, you should take your supplements at the recommended times as certain nutrients are best absorbed in smaller amounts. One exception to this is the "EVENING" packet, which may contain a combination of herbs designed to help you relax for sleep. Those should be taken approximately one hour before bedtime.

Q: Do the supplements need to be refrigerated?

A: No. Store your supplements in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Do not refrigerate.

Q: What's the best way to take my "AM," "NOON," "PM," and "EVENING" vitamin packs?

A: Take supplements with a reasonably sized meal (for example, take the "AM" packet with breakfast) that contains fat. This will aid in your body digesting and absorbing the nutrients while also reducing discomfort. Examples of foods that contain fat include: oils, nuts, seeds, dairy, avocado, and fish. Also, drink plenty of fluids, preferably water.

Q: Should I ever 'double-up' on taking the vitamins in my vitamin packs?

A: We do not recommend "doubling-up" on your vitamin packs.

Q: I am having stomach issues since starting my vitamin plan, what should I do?

A: Please know that stomach discomfort is the most common side effect of taking supplements. To address this, be sure you are consuming a meal with each dose. Sometimes it is simply the amount of food consumed that makes the difference. You may also need to remove certain pills one at a time and see if your symptoms change. There are typically only one or two pills that contribute to reactions like this. If the above suggestions do not help, consult a physician or contact us to set up a nutritionist appointment.

Q: Do I still have to eat healthy and exercise in order to gain any benefit from your supplement program?

A: Our supplements are meant to help enhance your nutritional status and well-being. They should be used in conjunction with a balanced diet and regular physical activity in order to obtain maximum benefits.

Q: How long do I need to take vitamins and supplements to begin to feel an effect?

A: We recommended that you remain on a daily vitamin and supplement regimen for at least 90 days to fully realize the positive health effects.
